What is eGift Australia?

eGift Australia makes it quick and easy to send digital gift cards.

  • Choose from a wide range of designs, with themes to suit most gifting occasions;
  • Select any value of gift card from $5 up to $1,000;
  • Your gift recipient gets to choose where they wish to spend their gift card, and they can spend it instantly.

Why should I choose to use eGift Australia?

  • Convenience - there's no hassle with packaging or postage. After you have loaded funds into your account, gifts can be arranged with just a few clicks.
  • Choice - an eGift Australia egift card allows the recipient to choose where they spend their gift, with a wide variety of popular Australian retailers to choose from. This means you won't select the wrong gift card.
  • Value - there no additional fees, you only pay for the value of gift cards sent.

Each gift card brand and denomination is subject to demand and availability. Therefore each brand and denomination of gift card may not be available at all times.

How are gifts delivered?

If you choose email delivery, the gift card is delivered to the recipient via email. The recipient can then open their egift card on any smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

If you choose SMS delivery, the gift card will be delivered across two separate SMS messages. The recipient will need to be able to open a link from within an SMS message to redeem their gift card.

If you choose the web link method, you'll receive the gift card as a link (URL). Just copy and paste this link into a message in your favourite messaging app to send to the gift recipient.

If you choose printed delivery, you will be able to download a PDF to print out. The PDF has a voucher code and PIN that the recipient can then enter online to access their digital gift card.

In all cases, your gift recipient must have access to a smartphone or computer with internet access to be able to use their gift card.

Do I always have to add funds first?

Yes. Before you can send any gift cards, you need to add funds to your account. Funds in your account are called "gift credit". Once you have gift credit in your account, you can use this gift credit to send gifts.

What payment methods do you accept?

eGift Australia only accepts payment via EFT (bank transfer). An EFT payment can take up to 2 days for your payment to clear. Please arrange your payment well in advance of when you want to send a gift.

Why does eGift Australia not accept credit cards?

Unfortunately eGift Australia is unable to accept payment by credit card. Credit card payments for gift cards can attract a high level of fraud, and regrettably this means we're unable to offer a credit card payment option even to our genuine and honest customers.

How much does it cost to send a gift card with eGift Australia?

You only pay for the value of the gift card you are sending. There are no admin fees, no delivery fees and no other fees to send a gift with eGift Australia.

Can I request a refund of my gift credit?

Yes, you can request a refund of any unused gift credit that you have deposited to your account. Of course, any funds already used to send gift cards are non-refundable.

A processing fee of $5 applies for an account refund. This will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.

Any bonus credit you have received is non-refundable.
